Tam Dao is located about 80 kilometers from Ha Noi. It’s not only famous for its cool weather comparable to Sa Pa and Da Lat but also famous for its specialties. It’s an ideal getaway for tourists to escape the crazy, scorching heat.

Ba Be Lake is part of Ba Be National Park with 21 famous eco-tourism and cultural sites in the north-east region. Formed more than 200 million years, Ba Be now covers around 500 hectares, 178m above sea level. Ba Be is not only one of the largest lakes in Vietnam but recognized as one of the 20 special freshwater lakes in the world in need of protection.

You will also visit Bản Giốc waterfall- one of the most majestic waterfall of the world and Pac Bo historical relic, which is one of the most significant relic of Vietnam and where President Ho Chi Minh lived when he returned home after many years of studying and working abroad in search of a way to save the nation.

DAY 1 07h30 – 09h30: Driver and guide pick you up at the appointed site or Nội Bài airport 09h30: Departure to Tam Dao On the way to Tam Dao, you can visit Dai Lai lake – a beautiful artificially created lake of 525 hectare situated at the foot of Tam Dao Mountain in Phuc Yen Town, 40km from Ha Noi. It is worth to visit when tourists take a walk on zigzagging mountain path to sightsee the landscape of mountain and forest in this place. Then, you will head to Tam Dao Hill Homestay where you will have lunch an take a short break before discovering Tam Đảo

11h30 – 12h00: Lunch

13h30: Please choose one of these below options:

Option 1: Climbing up 1.400 rock steps to visit Satellite Tower, where is the highest in Tam Dao, you find the feeling of one who has conquered the peak. Taking a deep breath catching the fresh air of Tam Dao and feel your heart at ease. We go to visit the Ba Chua Thuong Ngan Temple and take nice pictures of Tam Dao from the top mountain Option 2: Hiking to the 45 meter high Silver Waterfall, Visiting an ancient cathedral with French architecture and the Sky gate, sightseeing, walking in the Flower garden and visiting the local market

18h00 – 18h30: Dinner

DAY 2 TAM ĐẢO – BA BỂ LAKE

06h30 – 7h00: Breakfast 07h30: Departure to Ba Bể lake On the way to Ba Be, you can have some rest and take photos of beautiful sights, mountains, the stilts houses hiding behind the trees. You will visit Hong Thai communal house, Tan Trao banyan tree and The historical site of Tan Trao – Na Lua shack house where President Ho Chi Minh used for living and working in the late of May to August 1945 to draw up the plan and make full preparation for General Uprising with the formation of the Liberation Army and take some photos

11h30: Lunch in a local restaurant at Chợ Rã town.

12h00 – 13h00: Carrying on our journey to Ba Be Family Homestay.

13h30: Boarding for a cruise on the Ba Be Lake and along Năng river. The boat trip will take you to visit a wonderful landscape of a world biosphere reserve and national park of Ba Be including, sacred An Ma Temple, the tiny Widow Island and spectacular Dau Dang Waterfall. You will see lots of butterflies, birds and if you’re lucky you might spot monkeys in the jungles surrounding the lake. Then, you will head back to Ba Be Homestay

18h00 – 18h30: Dinner. You will be served with delicious dishes of Tày people.

19h00: Free time to walk around Homestay, talking to local people to understand their daily life or seeing traditional dances (may attract an additional cost dependent on group size)

Overnight at Ba Be Family Homestay – A typical traditional stilt house of Tày people.

DAY 3 BA BỂ- BẢN GIỐC WATERFALL– CAO BẰNG 06h30 – 07h00: Breakfast

07h30: Our driver and our guide will take you to visit Bản Giốc waterfall which is located 90km from Cao Bằng. Ban Gioc Waterfall is the 4th largest fall in the world located on the borderline with China. The falls occur on the Quay Son River, a beautiful jade-blue body of water, flowing through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves, surrounded by limestone pinnacles.

11h00 – 11h30: Lunch.

13h00 – 13h30: You will visit Ngườm Ngao cave – a karst cave formed nearly 300 million years ago. Over time, the limestone stalactites and stalagmites in the cave create countless shapes stimulating the imagination in an interesting way. Depending on the structures of stalactites, the cave is divided into several areas, such as the “tu tru” (4 heaven pillars) with heaven stone columns; the center with the ample space; the treasure with glittering stalactites.

15h30 – 16:30: Heading back to Cao Bằng where you will be staying at one of the best hotels of Cao Bằng town. After checking in hotel, you will have some free time to walk around and, shopping.

18h00 – 18h30: Dinner in a local restaurant.

19h00: Free time to wander and discover the town at night.

DAY 4 CAO BẰNG- PẮC BÓ- HÀ NỘI( NỘI BÀI AIRPORT) 07h00 – 07h30: Breakfast

08h00: Our driver and our guide will take you to visit Pac Bo historical site- 50 km from Cao Bằng town. You will get to know more about how Uncle Ho worked and lived during the darkest period of Vietnam War by seeing souvenirs such as the typewriter, rattan basket, rubber sandals, etc… retained in the Pac Bo Cave. Besides it, there are also Lenin Stream, Karl Marx Mountain and the stone table that the Uncle often worked and the bed to sleep, poems and works that the President made when living in Pac Bo are the most worthy things that you will get to understand more about great life of President Ho Chi Minh.

11h30 – 12h00: Lunch at Bắc Cạn city. Then our driver will take you back to Hà Nội.

16h00 – 16h30: Arrival at Nội Bài airport

18h30 – 19h30: Tour ends upon arrival in Ha Noi at the appointed site.
